Sunday, August 31, 2008 ( YA Involvement in Youth Camp! ) The YAM has been approached by Faith Factor to help out in their year-end Youth Camp. The latter is evangelistic in nature and it is hoped that the youths will take this opportunity to bring their non-Christian friends along. Details are still sketchy at the moment but here's what you guys need to know so far: Date: 10 to 13 December (Wednesday to Saturday) Where: Presbyterian High School (Yio Chu Kang) Activities that require our help!: P.S. Do take note of the dates! 1) CSI Night on the night of the 10th of December (it hasn't been properly themed yet) - I/Cs: Cheryl and Zuhao They might need help in the contribution of game ideas and the execution of the event itself e.g. station ICs, actors and actresses. If interested to help out, do approach these two people! 2) Beach Games @ Sentosa on the afternoon of the 11th of December - I/Cs: Maria and Daryl (myself) Some beach games include: Ultimate frisbee, Beach Obstacle Course, Sandcastle building cum War Games. We will be needing 6 Station I/Cs, and two safety personnel (they can double up for dual roles if necessary) If interested, do approach Maria or myself! 3) Logistics (ongoing before, during and after the camp)- I/Cs: Jonathan Ma. So far, he's the only poor guys handling such an important and heavy portfolio, so do volunteer to help him out. I'll be "seconded" to help him out, as indicated to Dawn. So yeah, do look for him too! I guess he'll be needing help with the coordination of items needed for games, food catering, and general logistical issues. We will be submitting our final proposals for these two events by the 19th of September, so do let us know way before that. The Youth Chairperson - Mr. Lim Yaoqi and his camp committee will be making an official camp publicity announcement this coming Sunday (7 September 2008), so do stay tuned for more details about the camp! Helping out in the Youth Camp will certainly help us young adults get to know our youths much better, through planning and executing events for them, and interacting with them when playing the games. Hence I really hope that more YAs can sign up to be involved in at least one of the activities. Looking forward to your replies soon! =) Daryl @ 11:50 PM by Servants' Team 0 comments |
